Shannon is a certified Reiki Master in the Usui/Tibetan system of energy healing. She is also an Advanced Crystal Practitioner certified by the IPHM accreditation, and Certified Sound Healer. Shannon also has her YTT 200 and is certified in Restorative yoga, Yin yoga, and is also a certified meditation instructor.

   Before opening Soul Sisters Reiki and Rocks, Shannon worked as a Senior Paramedic for Guilford County EMS. Over her 18 year career, she has been awarded several honors and awards including over 40 successful CPR saves, a Directors award, and a Merit of Honor Award. Shannon is also an ordained minister and has an associate degree in Health and Human Services.
